Day 1 - City Tour in Cusco | Day 2 - Machu Picchu
Explore Cusco on a half-day city tour. Stroll through its cobblestone streets and visit the Cathedral, located in the Plaza de Armas, to admire its Baroque and Neoclassical altars, as well as indigenous paintings by both known and anonymous artists.
We head to the Qorikancha Temple, the main temple dedicated to the Inca Sun God. Immerse yourself in a living cultural experience with a visit to the local San Pedro Market, where agricultural products, vegetables, meats, medicinal plants, magic potions, textiles, and many other items are displayed.
We will travel by private transport to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, known for its megalithic constructions, impressive masonry, and ceremonial spaces.
We will head to the Ollantaytambo train station, crossing the Sacred Valley, where we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Finally, enjoy a scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
Early in the morning, at the time agreed with your guide, you will head to the bus station to board the bus that will take you to the Machu Picchu citadel, a 25-minute journey.
Once at the entrance, you will enter with your guide to enjoy a fantastic historical tour of this impressive Inca citadel. Depending on the reserved circuit, you will visit the main temples, the sacred plaza, the water fountains, the agricultural terraces, the Temple of the Condor, and more.
After exploring this wonder, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. After a delicious lunch, board the train that will take you back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station, where private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

The tour lasts 2 days. On the first day, we do the City Tour in Cusco and travel to Aguas Calientes. On the second day, we visit Machu Picchu in the morning and return to Cusco in the afternoon.
We recommend at least 2 days of acclimatization in Cusco before the tour. Machu Picchu is at a lower altitude (2,400 m) than Cusco (3,400 m), which makes acclimatization easier during the tour.
We use tourist trains such as Expedition or Vistadome, which offer large windows to enjoy the views of the Sacred Valley and the cloud forest during the journey.
Accommodation in Aguas Calientes is not included in the package to offer you flexibility. We can recommend and book hotels of different categories according to your budget.
