Day 1 - Moray - Maras | Day 2 - Machu Picchu
Enjoy a cultural tour through Chinchero, Moray and Maras in the Sacred Valley. Visit the small Andean town of Chinchero and explore the archaeological site and its colonial temple. Then, immerse yourself in a colorful traditional weaving demonstration using natural dyes made from local flowers, roots, and insects.
The tour continues with a visit to Moray, a series of circular terraces with experimental agricultural functions, an Inca agricultural laboratory believed to have been used to test different plants at different temperatures.
We will stop at the Maras Salt Mines to admire the magnificent white salt flats and witness the traditional salt extraction process for human consumption.
Then we will head to Urubamba to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
Finally, enjoy a scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
Early in the morning, at the time agreed with your guide, you will head to the bus station to board the bus that will take you to the Machu Picchu citadel, a 25-minute journey.
Once at the entrance, you will enter with your guide to enjoy a fantastic historical tour of this impressive Inca citadel. Depending on the reserved circuit, you will visit the main temples, the sacred plaza, the water fountains, the agricultural terraces, the Temple of the Condor, and more.
After exploring this wonder, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. After a delicious lunch, board the train that will take you back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station, where private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.
