Day 1 - Sacred Valley | Day 2 - Machu Picchu
We depart from Cusco to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, admiring the Andes mountains and surrounding valleys during the journey. We will make a stop at Awanacancha, an exhibition center for South American camelids such as llamas and alpacas.
We will continue to the Pisaq archaeological complex, where we will take a short walk through the site, giving you time to explore some of its attractions, such as the water fountains and the Inca cemetery located on the mountainside.
Afterwards, we will visit the colonial town of Pisaq, where you will find many craft shops and jewelry stores. Time to explore and buy souvenirs.
We will continue the journey along the Vilcanota River until we reach the town of Urubamba, where we will stop for lunch.
Then, we will visit the Inca town of Ollantaytambo and its archaeological complex.
Finally, enjoy a scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, where you will spend the night.
Early in the morning, at the time agreed with your guide, you will head to the bus station to board the bus that will take you to the Machu Picchu citadel, a 25-minute journey.
Once at the entrance, you will enter with your guide to enjoy a fantastic historical tour of this impressive Inca citadel. Depending on the reserved circuit, you will visit the main temples, the sacred plaza, the water fountains, the agricultural terraces, the Temple of the Condor, and more.
After exploring this wonder, take the bus back to Aguas Calientes. After a delicious lunch, board the train that will take you back to Ollantaytambo or Poroy station, where private transport will be waiting to take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

The tour lasts 2 days. On the first day, we visit the Sacred Valley (Pisaq and Ollantaytambo) and travel to Aguas Calientes. On the second day, we visit Machu Picchu in the morning and return to Cusco in the afternoon.
We recommend at least 2 days of acclimatization in Cusco before the tour. Machu Picchu is at a lower altitude (2,400 m) than Cusco (3,400 m), which makes acclimatization easier during the tour.
We use tourist trains such as Expedition or Vistadome, which offer large windows to enjoy the views of the Sacred Valley and the cloud forest during the journey.
Accommodation in Aguas Calientes is not included in the package to offer you flexibility. We can recommend and book hotels of different categories according to your budget.
